Robert Fripp and the Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists perform in Seattle

On October 29, Tuning the Air and Seattle Circle hosted Robert Fripp and the Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists for a performance in Fremont.

Originally planned as a preparatory retreat for players considering taking part in the Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists project in Italy next March, it became clear very early that this was, indeed, the Orchestra itself. So, with 5 days notice, the team assembled in Gig Harbor began preparations for a performance in Seattle, where we would take the place of the regular Thursday TTA performance. We turned up the available promotional heat – emailing list, websites and posting on various social networking sites. When the night came, it was a full house: RF + 40 guitarists occupying the center of the Great Hall at Fremont Abbey Arts Center, and nearly 150 in the audience.
